Changes to the UK Trust Registration Service (TSR): The impact of the fifth money laundering directive
In this Technical Briefing the Technical Services team look at the changes to the UK trust registration service due to the Fifth Money Laundering Directive. The changes will require UK express trusts, and certain other UK trusts such as those holding an interest in UK land or which have a so called “UK business relationship”, to be registered in early 2022. The Briefing looks at the current position of the rules following the release of an updated UK consultation in late 2020.
